담양에서 가장 오래된 나무 숲길, 관방제림. 관방제림을 가득 메우고 있는 푸조나무. 그리고 푸조나무와 함께 삶을 살아온 사람들.
푸조나무는 전라남도 담양을 기반으로 한 펍입니다. 담양에는 관방제림이라는 오래된 나무 숲길이 있습니다. 관방제림은 푸조나무로 이루어져 있는데 그 모습이 아름답고 편안해 아주 옛날부터 담양 사람들의 삶의 터전이었습니다. 펍의 이름인 푸조나무는 담양의 관방제림을 가득 메운 나무에서 따온 이름입니다. 오랫동안 담양 사람들의 삶의 터전이 되었던 이 나무처럼, 그들의 삶 속에서 편안하게 휴식하며 일상을 살아갈 수 있는 삶의 공간이 되길 바랍니다.
로고는 붓으로 글자를 썼을 때 나타나는 획의 대비와 흘림의 특성이 담겨있습니다. 수백 년 된 나무의 강인한 생명력을 붓의 탄탄한 획을 이용해 표현할 수 있다고 생각했습니다. 다만 오랫동안 담양 사람들의 삶의 터전이 되었던 이 나무처럼 글자의 인상이 편안한 느낌을 주도록 고려했습니다. 함께 관방제림에서 만났던 고양이를 캐릭터로 만들어 친근한 느낌으로 모두에게 다가갈 수 있도록 설계했습니다.
Pujonamu is a pub based in Damyang, Jeollanam-do. In Damyang, there is an old tree-lined path called Gwanbangje-rim. Gwanbangje-rim is filled with Pujonamu trees, and its beautiful and tranquil appearance has been the cornerstone of life for the people of Damyang since ancient times. The name of the pub, Pujonamu, is derived from the trees that fill Gwanbangje-rim in Damyang. Like these trees that have long been the cornerstone of life for the people of Damyang, we hope to create a space for people to comfortably rest and live their daily lives.
The logo embodies the contrast and flow characteristics that appear when writing with a brush. I thought I could express the robust vitality of centuries-old trees using the solid strokes of a brush. However, I also considered ensuring that the impression of the letters feels comfortable, like the trees that have long been the cornerstone of life for the people of Damyang. I designed a character based on a cat we met in Gwanbangje-rim to make it approachable and friendly to everyone.
