Caterpillar(The life of small things)는 작은 애벌레의 탄생과 삶 그리고 죽음의 과정을 담은 스토리텔링북입니다.

I began to think that the lives of small and weak things are different from those of big and strong ones. And the desire to delve into that small life led to the beginning of the book called "Caterpillar," which tells the story of a caterpillar's birth, life, and death. "Caterpillar (The Life of Small Things)" is a storytelling book that contains the process of a small caterpillar's life and death, rather than precise conveyance through lengthy descriptive text, aiming to convey the story vaguely through symbolic graphics. The vaguely conveyed story is believed to be interpreted diversely by each individual's phenomenological experience upon reading this book.

The caterpillar is a 'small thing.' Being small may signify weakness, and the caterpillar can also be seen as a 'feeble existence.' Birds are the predator of caterpillars and the 'enemies of reality.' Predators like birds are not necessarily dangerous to caterpillars. Under the relationship of being a predator, despite not being particularly strong like birds, they become the most feared existence, the 'enemies of the surroundings' and the 'enemies of reality.

'To prevent the thought that 'weak life is sad,' the overall atmosphere and the nature surrounding the caterpillar were depicted as a warm presence. Nature provided sunlight, water, wind, and a forest of green to the caterpillar, allowing it to live its life happily. In fact, there are many stories that I wanted to tell through the caterpillar and the bird. That is why the need for phenomenological experience is essential. Since this book prioritizes life (process) over the caterpillar's death (outcome), I aimed to archive the process of making the book itself.

*Phenomenological Experience: Experience achieved through the perception of objects by one's own thoughts (perceiving and thinking about objects through subjective consciousness and experience)
